A quick note on how this site handles data.

🍪 No cookies

I don't use cookies. Nothing is stored on your device that follows you around the web.

📊 What I collect

I use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how people use the game. It records things like:

• Which pages are viewed
• Approximate location (city, region, and country), derived from your IP address at the moment of the request
• Which browser and device type is being used
• How long sessions last

Your IP address is used briefly to work out the location, then discarded — it's not stored. I don't fingerprint your device and I can't identify you personally.

🚫 What I don't do

• No advertising. This site shows no ads and never will. I'm not part of any ad network.
• No cross-site tracking. I don't use cookies, pixels, fingerprinting, or anything that could follow you elsewhere on the web.
• No third-party trackers. Other than Umami for aggregate stats, there are no Google, Facebook, or advertising beacons. Nothing else phones home.
• No selling or sharing. I never sell, share, or pass your data to anyone.
• No personal profiles. I don't build a profile of you as a visitor. I only see anonymised aggregate numbers.
• No AI training. Your gameplay is not recorded, exported, or fed into any AI training set.

🎓 Why I collect this

As a university researcher, I want to know whether the game is reaching the educators and students I built it for, and which parts of it are actually being used. That helps me improve it and justify the time I've spent making it free and open.
